Interested in Joining the LHAF Board?

If you have a bit of time and enthusiasm for the arts, we think you would enjoy belonging to the Lyndon House Arts Foundation Board of Directors and helping the LHAF perform its mission.

The Foundation would like to invite new members to join its Board in advancing its mission to support and promote the arts in the Athens-Clarke County community, with a particular focus on the activities of the Lyndon House Arts Center.

The LHAF fundraising activities currently provide financial support to the Teen Cartoon/Illustration Club, the Teen Fashion Design/Sewing Club, the Teen Media Club; the Annual Juried Exhibition; the Annual Limited Edition Screen Print Sale; and the Guest Bipoc/Curator Program. The foundation considers other funding opportunities and projects throughout the year.

The LHAF meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm. Board members also serve on one or more standing committees of interest and attend/facilitate activities at the Art Center. The only financial obligation is to pay the LHAF membership fee of $25 per year.

We're also seeking members who may wish to assume leadership roles now and, in the future, as well as serve on the Board. Such roles include fundraising, finance, non-profit administration, legal services, and grant writing.

Complete the form to let us know you are interested!

Thank you for considering the Lyndon House Arts Foundation!

HISTORY

Lyndon House Arts Foundation, Inc. was organized in 1993 as an independent, non-profit organization in support of Ronnie and Nancy Lukasiewicz’s dream of creating a local arts center.

The newly formed Foundation - a coalition of artists, businesses, local schools, government and community members - co-sponsored the SPLOST proposal which was passed by ACC voters securing six million dollars toward the construction of a new arts facility.

Completed in 1999 and opened to the community, the Lyndon House Arts Center now provides exceptional exhibition spaces with educational opportunities and studio rooms for practicing artists and patrons of the arts.

The Lyndon House Arts Center is representative of a community that values the arts and its artists- a vital element to a successful and diverse community.

The Lyndon House Arts Foundation continues its mission in support of the Arts Center’s outstanding programming
