The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department will host a festival funded in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The India: Land of Enchantment event is for all ages at Lyndon House Arts Center on Saturday, November 10 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
The festival features the fascinating and colorful culture of India, including performances, exhibitions, Indian art demonstrations, displays, and hands-on activities for the entire family. Kruti Dancers, featured on America’s Got Talent, will perform at 10:30 a.m.
The festival is free and open to all ages, however, children must be accompanied by an adult.
In addition to the events at Lyndon House, an Indian play, Little Clay Cart, performed by the Epic Actors’ Workshop from New York will be held at the Cellar Theatre at the University of Georgia Fine Arts Building at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 10 and 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 11.
